Classroom Visits From South Metro

Three cartoon children with safety materials under a "Sound Off with the Home Fire Safety Patrol!" banner.

We are excited to offer in-person presentations based on the Sound Off with the Home Fire Safety Patrol curriculum. The program teaches children and families the different sounds a smoke alarm makes and what to do when you hear them. Sound Off also teaches how to prevent the most common causes of home fires and how to plan and practice a home fire drill with everyone in your family. Visits are 45 to 60 minutes long, and our educators will do their best to work around your classroom schedule.

Fire Safety

Fire moves fast. You and your family may have less than two minutes to get out safely once the smoke alarm sounds. Visit NFPA’s Sparky School House to learn how to create a home escape plan.

Complete The Great Colorado Fire Drill (PDF) and receive a free ice cream scoop coupon for every child under the age of 12.

Sound Off has free videos for children, a Storybook, and online games to make learning about fire safety fun. You can also download the free Sound Off Safety App at the App Store. The App does not require the Internet.
